Delete your account
You can ask us at any time to delete your YomiScore account and everything you have synced. Here is how it works.
How to request it
- Email us from your account's address at [email protected] with the subject "Delete my account". You don't need to give us a reason.
- Confirm from your inbox. Because the sender of an email can be forged, your message alone isn't enough: we'll write to your account's email address with a confirmation code and ask you to reply to that email with the code. Only someone with access to that inbox can do that.
- We take care of the rest. For now, our team deletes accounts by hand: we delete yours within 30 days of your confirmation at most, and email you once it's done.
Signed in with Apple and chose to hide your email? Your account uses the relay address Apple created (it ends in privaterelay.appleid.com), which you can see in YomiScore's settings. Include it in your message: we'll write to that address and Apple will forward the email to you.
Lost access to your account's email? Write to us anyway and we'll find another safe way to confirm that the account is yours.
What we delete
- Your YomiScore account and your Firebase Authentication user: email address, name, profile photo and sign-in history.
- Everything you have synced: your scores' details, setlists, collections, layers and annotations, including items you had already deleted in the app.
- Your PDFs on the server. If another account uploaded exactly the same file, it is kept for them, but any link to you is removed.
- Your band memberships and whatever you shared with your bands. If you were directing a band, the longest-standing assistant takes over or, if there is none, the longest-standing musician; if nobody is left, the band is deleted.
- Your waitlist sign-up, if you joined it with the same email address.
What is kept
- Security alerts: logs of suspicious requests (IP address, path, method, browser and time and, if you tried to sign in while the account was suspended, the account's identifier) are deleted automatically after 90 days.
- A record of your request: we keep your email address and the dates of the request and of the deletion for up to 3 years, only so we can show that we handled it.
- Backups: your data may remain for a few days in automatic database backups, until they roll over.
- What's on your devices: your local library, rehearsal recordings, practice tracks and settings are not deleted remotely. They stay there until you delete them or uninstall YomiScore and, in any device backups (Google or iCloud) that include them, until those backups are deleted or replaced.
- Other members' copies: if someone in your band saved something you shared to their library, that copy is theirs.
- Your Google or Apple account: we don't touch it. If you like, you can remove YomiScore's access from your Google Account's security settings or under Sign in with Apple in your Apple ID settings.
Before you ask
- If you want to keep your scores, make sure you have them on your device or somewhere else: afterwards we won't be able to recover them from our servers.
- Deletion is permanent. If you come back later, you'll start with a new account.
- If you only want to remove something specific without closing your account — for example, scores you deleted in the app that are still stored on the server — write to us and we'll delete it.
